Aroma Indian Cuisine

We ate here on our first day in Napa. We are Indian American and felt confident ordering "medium" heat. Should have gone mild. The food was tasty but hot. Their cook is Punjabi, so stick with the north indian dishes on the menu.

OMG! I had such a wonderful surprise! I ordered a Vegtable Biryani! Rice and vegetables with just the right spice mix! served with a yogurt sauce! Presentation was for just wonderful! our waiter, Russle presented me with this bowl sealed pasty on top! Russel cut the pastry! and steam came out! the taste was just wonderful! As a vegetarian most of the time! I find it difficult to eat out! This di's was full of diverse and abundant vegetables! I highly recommend this dish and Aromas wonderful service ! It was so pleasant dine!

Do yourself a favor and try their lunch buffet! It's $23 but it's all you can eat and this is high-quality Indian food! So yummy... The naan is not in the lineup because they bring it to you fresh after you sit down! And you get a choice of garlic or plain. We were just so impressed and loved our waiter Russell. I hate cooked spinach, but I love sag paneer... Go figure! We tried something we hadn't had before and it was their mango chicken... really good. I have been to the new Indian restaurant in Napa and it was delicious, but just so expensive! They have really decorated this place nicely as well... Remember when it was a Mexican restaurant years ago?? The booths here have the most beautiful fabric, I just love it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Amazing food, great service, very clean!! Love it here! We enjoyed the ambiance which was relaxing and serene.

Even though the spice/heat level was a little higher than I'm used to, the flavors were great. I would order from here again.

Polite staff. the chicken tikki masala and goa curry shrimp is amazing. A nice place to dine in with lots of seating and there's also lunch buffet Monday through Friday.

Cute decor fair prices really yummy food. I like the buttered chicken with garlic naan. Good service too. Fairly quick as well.

Aroma Indian Cuisine is the best in the valley and we always return because they are consistently good in food and service. My husband's favorite is the Biryani (tonight we had lamb). The Biryani bowl was sealed (like a pot pie) with naan. The chef cut open the naan and peeled it back to display the rice dish. We also enjoyed the Saag Paneer and the Goat Vindaloo. All the sauces had a depth that shows they did not skimp on the steps creating complex flavors resulting in satisfied guests. Tonight, Rony our server was extra personable and guided us through the menu to get the perfect spice level & blend for each dish. He was friendly and timed our dishes out perfectly. Thank you, Aroma! We will be back!

Aroma is our favorite Indian cuisine in Napa. The restaurant has been completely remodeled. Dining in is a very pleasant experience. The food is excellent and plentiful, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is pleasant. With the cold, rainy weather, their large-screen TV with the fire feature is warm and welcome. Their all-you -can eat buffet changes daily. If you are in the mood for Indian fare, Aroma is the place to go.

Food was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! So good that our whole table forgot to take photos lol. Went with a group of 6. Started with the veggie samosa & it came with two sauces - tamarind and mint. Both sauces paired well with the samosa. For main course, our table got a few dishes to share - lamb biryani, saag paneer, lamb tikka masala, chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori kebab (all medium heat). Of course we got a variety of naan - goat cheese, mozzarella, garlic, & cheese pizza. BEST NAAN EVER! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and service was quick. I'd definitely go back to eat there again.

An Indian friend recommended Aroma and now it is my go-to place for authentic, reasonably priced Indian cuisine (mostly Punjabi with some dishes from Goa). Wonderful flavors, comfy setting, thoughtful service. Try the veggie dishes even if you are meat inclined.

The buffet was terrific! We loved everything, though I particularly liked the lentil bread, the tandoori chicken, the butter chicken and the chicken curry and the.. . You get the idea. It was perfectly seasoned - we didn't even need salt or pepper. The service was excellent, maybe even a little too attentive since we were the only customers. We arrived just when they opened and no one else arrived while we were there. Which leads to the reason for only 4 stars. It was very cold making the experience less enjoyable. The only downside. We'll definitely definitely go back but a little after the opening.

Food is great. Buffet is a little over priced for the selection. I get the bread regularly.

My husbands first time having Indian & he was AMAZED!! Such great service, everything came out quick and our server Geed was great at recommending lots of delicious things. We asked for naan and we weren't sure which one to have so Geed brought us a big selection to try & they were all DELICIOUS. We definitely will be coming back for the buffet!!!

You enter in a warm old feel like atmosphere and captivating ceiling and ethnic decors. There is ample seating. Food is excellent and love the sizzling dishes when presented. Friendly service and very kind.

Lunch buffet, back after a 3-year hiatus due to the pandemic, is a great way to try out the different dishes that I would otherwise not be inclined to ordering. I'm not a fan of vegetarian dishes, but Indian cuisine has the knack for making delicious recipes with all kinds of veggies. Aroma has them all perfected.

Certainly the best Indian food in Napa and probably the entire north bay. It is as authentic as it gets and the food is delicious. They also have Indian beer which was a first for me and it is surprisingly good. Furthermore the owner whose name escapes me and his staff are top notch and very accommodating. I had only ordered take out in the past but it is worth sitting down if you have the time. Can't wait to give them more business.

This has been our go-to place for a few years now whenever we visit Napa as we are certain that after a busy day in Napa, their food will not disappoint. Today, they went above and beyond in their customer service. As usual, we went in for a late lunch after spending the morning in Napa and we had my parents with us today. We ordered food and assorted naans, and while we were waiting for food, they gave us complimentary papads. Even though we had placed the order for all the naans we would have needed, they paced bringing out naans by themselves to ensure that they came out warm since the weather was cold. It made our dining experience better. The staff was very friendly and kept checking on us throughout our dining. In the end, they even brought out hot Indian tea on the house (which made my parents happy)!!! After enjoying the good food and tea, as we were making our way out, my toddler noticed miniature trucks on their counter which were holding their business cards, and made a fit about taking one. Without a second thought, they emptied the cards from one and gave it to him. We really appreciate that gesture. In the end, we walked out with full bellies and a happy toddler. What else can one want! Do give them a try whenever you are looking for Indian food in Napa.

I went here for my birthday because I love Indian food and was craving it. We had the lunch buffet, mainly for the options, and my favorites were the Butter Chicken and Veggie Korma. Alin and the whole staff are great! Thank you for helping make my birthday memorable!

We have enjoyed coming for dinner, but decided to try the lunch buffet. It was very good, especially the vegetarian options. Malai Kofta was my favorite followed by the dal. All Indian buffets have a dal, but this one was spicy and delicious. My husband tried all the chicken dishes and liked the tandoori chicken the best. I also enjoyed the naan, rice pudding, and chutneys. The pakoras were tasty but I wished they were warmer. Definitely coming back!

Got the chicken tikka masala (medium heat) and goat cheese naan. Both were incredible. Only thing I'd recommend doing differently is getting MORE naan to dip in the sauce. It comes with a big portion of it but the sauce is too good to waste

Great food and service. Even though I ask for really spicy, like sweating and tell them I've been to India., they are very conservative about the heat, and have to have them fix it. Otherwise wonderful flavors and a pleasure to eat. I would highly recommend, and I hear that they have a great lunch Buffet, that I have yet to try, but will soon.

Absolutely amazing place! Tasty and authentic food, excellent service, beautiful ambience!! I went to celebrate my birthday and Aroma Indian Cuisine is definitely a place to go to celebrate any occasion!

This is my fourth time ever to this hidden gem In six months and I’m questioning myself Why am I not coming here often? It seems like the place has gone through some remodeling and it looks so much better and also quality and taste of the food even though it was already good, but somehow they have elevated to a different level which I don’t think so you can get anywhere in and around Napa area I saw a sign that they have brought back the buffets but too bad it’s only for lunchtime so we had to order à la cart tonight. We were a party of nine people and everyone is going to have a tough night sleeping tonight because we over ate and couldn’t even get up from our chairs . 😜🤣 Thank you Aroma for an awesome dinner and great service… Keep up the good work, and we surely be coming back much more often.

You won't believe how amazing the chicken biryani is here! If you're a fan of biryani, you absolutely have to give it a try.

Great place to have authentic Indian food in the wine country! The food is great, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is relaxed! Highly recommended Aroma if you are visiting Napa Valley and are looking for great restaurant!

I meant to write this review a while ago but recently moved out of state and it almost slipped my mind so I’m glad I remembered. I lived in Napa for 12 years and I absolutely loved Aroma. Every time I went I was greeted with a warm welcome and quickly got to know some of the workers. Anil was usually the person who waited on me and he was always genuinely kind and attentive. Not to mention the food was great every time and it’s without a doubt my personal preference for Indian cuisine in the area. When I visit Napa in the future I’ll definitely have to grab a bite to eat at Aroma. Highly recommend if you’re in town and want Indian food! Last but not least, I hope all the workers are doing well and thank you for the consistently pleasant experience and delicious food. Take care!

I've been to many Indian restaurants in the Bay Area, but this one truly stands out as one of the best, if not the best. The service is exceptional, making you feel right at home, and the food is absolutely phenomenal, tasting as authentic as if you were dining in India itself. The Vegetable Biryani is a must-try – an authentic dum biryani that is bursting with flavors. The chef's expertise shines through in every dish. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this gem to all my friends and family!
