Bel King

This is the first time I've eaten at this restaurant. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. I seldom eat at an Indian cuisine but this restaurant is simply the best. Their staff are very friendly, polite, and accommodating. The ambiance is really clean, nice and relaxing. I love the taste of their biriani lamb. I recommend this restaurant who craves authentic Indian cuisine.

We literally just walked out of the restaurant and I couldn't wait to post this review. Walking into the establishment we were immediately greeted and seated. The restaurant is clean, the decor is chic, modern and comfortable. Even the plates, bowls and cups are pretty! We were served our appetizer not long after placing our orders, freshly made Samosa Chaat...beautifully plated and oh so delicious! My taste buds were bursting with flavor! Next came our entrees. The chicken biryani served with dressing...OH MY GAWD it was ridiculously delicious! The star of the show, however, was the chicken coconut. I can't even find the right words to describe how delicious it was. The chicken was so tender, the coconut flavor PERFECT. It was rich and amazing and I know I'm not doing it justice!!! The Naan was delicious as well! Overall I was wowed by taste of everything we had and I feel like all the food was made with high quality ingredients and prepared with love. Not once did I bite anything unsavory, just a great experience from the moment we walked in until we walked out. Compliments to the chef and staff!!

I came from SoCal for work. And sometimes you get random craving. Tonight I craved for some Indian food. And man by far blew my mind. The lamb tikki masala and chicken biryani was incredible. If I ever do I a road trip or come back for work I would definitely stop by there again hope to find one back in SoCal

Delicious! We tried the non veg lunch platter as well as the goat curry with a side of tamarind chutney! The goat had amazing flavor! The tamarind sauce was a sweet sauce.. I thought it would be more tangy. Still delicious ! Also. You HAVE TO TRY the masala chai tea!!!!!! It's the best tea we have ever had. It's so creamy and flavorful!!!

The food was spicy without being hot. The flavors were on point with the menu description. The people very nice. I would eat here the next time I'm in the area. The chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and mint chutney was very good

We have been traveling in the area and dropped into Bel King with modest expectations. We were immediately blown away! The smell hit us right away -- the taste soon after. Rich, melt-in-your mouth assortment of spice-inducing palate pleasers. Our hometown is no stranger to great Indian cuisine so we were both taken by surprise. Both my husband and I agree this was the best tasting samosas and butter chicken we have had in our foodie experience. The mango lassi, garlic naan and malai kofta were also very good. If we lived in a drivable radius, Bel King would 100% be apart of our rotation. Service was prompt and friendly. There was a bit of a wait for our food but the quality was well worth it. There is plenty of open space and it was clean. Highly recommended!

If you like Indian food then you will not be disappointed. Food was good, service was good and fast, and place was clean. Probably one of the best places to eat in Napa American Canyon.

We were staying at the hotel next door and wanted to try something different. Upon entering, we were greeted by the owner who sat us in a booth. He mentioned the restaurant had been open for two years. It was clean, had a modern decor, and next to us on the wall were photos of different spices and the Queen Mother on her visit to India. We ordered the non-vegetarian lunch special. It consisted of butter chicken, chicken Tikka Masala, cucumber salad, basmati rice, butter Naan, and rice pudding. Everything was scrumptious. The chicken was moist, curry sauce was so flavorful and mild, it was delicious! The basmati rice was tender and perfect. The butter Naan was soft and crispy. It was great for eating up all the delicious sauce. The rice pudding wasn't sweet, and it helped to cut the heat. You can taste that their food was made with love. The portions were just the right amount for a lunch special. My mom and I are both petite, and we managed to finish it all. The next time we visit CA, we will make sure to come back again.

If you're wandering around American Canyon with a rumbling tummy, dreaming of butter chicken that could potentially change your life, I've found your spot. This place has butter chicken so good, it makes you wonder if the chickens were fed butter. Walking in, you're hit with a smell so divine, you'd think the kitchen is run by wizards. The staff greet you like you're the long-lost butter chicken aficionado they've been waiting for. Now, the main act: the butter chicken. It's like the chef whispers sweet nothings to the chicken before serving it in a sauce so rich, you'll contemplate bathing in it. It's so delicious, you might start questioning all your life choices that led you to eat anything else before this moment. In short, if American Canyon had a king, it would be this butter chicken. It's not just a dish; it's a buttery, chickeny hug for your soul.

Went here for dinner with my fiancé and had a nice time. We ordered two vegetarian dishes- Malai kofta and Navratan korma medium spice with brown rice and plain naan as sides, which were additional. The malai kofta is a dish with a creamy gravy sauce and four fried vegetable oval balls. My critique is the fried vegetable balls were salty. It balanced a bit with the subtle sauce, but was still salty. I told the waiter when he checked in on us for feedback and he thanked me, which was nice. The navratan korma is a curry dish with nine vegetables and I enjoyed this one more. It was more flavorful but balanced and I enjoyed the different textures of the vegetables. The cost is decent and the service was good. The place is clean and has a good amount of table space. We sat at a booth.

Service is very good. Kind and quick. The restaurant itself has a comfortable atmosphere, I've only ever had takeout though. The food itself is great! Chicken is always juicy and despite the portions looking small it's always filling and worth the cost! Would recommend to anyone in the area.

I was stopping off at Panda Express in American Canyon, but the smell of Indian food from Bel King lured me inside. Wow! The food was probably the best Indian food I've ever eaten. Generous portions, amazing flavors. I had it to go and each dish was packaged so carefully. I can't wait to go back! The two lunch specials are a great way to get an introduction to this fabulous food. And the staff is also warm and friendly. I hope they do well because this is the kind of restaurant that should be successful. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Good solid Indian food located in a shopping area. It was a spur of the moment decision to have lunch here, and we didn't regret it. Service was good, too. The ambiance is modern and the restaurant has a modern, clean atmosphere.

Ate here on a Sunday for lunch and was very pleased. The food was delicious and the servings were perfect size. The nann bread was the superstar of the meal. We will be back

I only had take out from this spot once, but damn was it fantastic! I ordered a samosa and chicken curry to go. I walked in, there were three gentlemen standing behind the counter eager to get my order. Once I ordered, it was less than 10 minutes until they had it packaged up and ready for me. I got it back to my hotel room and was amazed by how amazing the smell was. The samosa was a big fattie stuffed with potato, veggies, and delicious spices! The sauce didn't taste that great at first by itself, but once I put it on the fattie samosa, it transformed into a delicious duo. The chicken curry was legit. Big chunks of chicken with a super delicious sauce with a great side of long grain rice that had a hint of spice in it. I wanted to eat more of the curry, but the two samosas filled me up pretty well. I recommended this place to my local colleagues to check out. So freaking good!

I came in for an early lunch, ordered chicken tikka masala, kebab, and saag paneer... i've had Indian food at lots of places, but this is absolutely one of the very best!!! The cook, was very inviting, and gave good suggestions. He prepared the food after ordering, and served it very hot!! I would recommend this place to anybody looking for an excellent dining experience!!! Looking forward to coming back and trying other items.

This place is outstanding. If you love Indian food, as I do, you must try this place. If you've never tried Indian food, give it a try--I think you will be delighted by this restaurant. It's located in a strip mall, but don't be fooled. The food here is as good/better than any I have tried. The main chef is so friendly and accommodating. I went by tonight to get garlic Naan (I had leftovers from a couple of nights ago), and he gave me a sample of a vegetable samosa to try--so good!! I have tried a majority of their menu and it's all very delicious. Also, they have made a cozy location--a really nice spot to enjoy your meal. They even have wine and some really interesting beers. Stop by, or make a special trip. You will be sold, as I am, on Bel King!

What an amazing find! Some of the best Indian food I have ever had. The lunch special was fresh and plentiful and they have an extensive menu as well. The mango lassi has fresh fruit in it and it and the deserts were just right on sweetness! The staff is friendly, the seating is plentiful, and all the food was as fresh as can be! We live 40 miles away and we'll be back!

Honestly the some of the best Indian food I have ever had and I have eaten Indian food all over the world! Exquisite attention to detail in terms of spices and freshness of the ingredients. The lentil soup is amazing. The masala sauce is the best I have ever had.

I was hungry wanted Indian food found this place right outside my hotel. Decided to try best choice I made food service is/was awesome severed fresh. Many people came in and out while I devoured my freshly prepared food hot fresh and awesome. I had been craving Indian food for a while and when I learned about this new business I had to give it a try. The place was clean and inviting and the staff was very personable. We received a commentary salad while we waited for our food. It was fresh and tasty and got us excited about what was to come. I like lamb but it is a meat that does not keep well and therefore must be cooked when it is fresh. I took a gamble and went with the lamb vindaloo medium spiced. I'm happy to say that it was a very nice fresh dish. I contemplated going for the hot spice but in the end medium was just about right. We also tried the chicken biryani, the bullet and garlic Naan breads, mango chutney and mixed pickle. All were very good. If you are not used to Indian style pickles be prepared to pucker up. It's not for everybody but I enjoyed it. I will be back to try the goat next time!

The food was great but the owner/waiter was accommodating. He made me and my partner feel like kings and queens. Back to the food, the dishes were flavorful but the fish pakoras stole the spotlight and I can say I was satisfied. It’s almost rare to find good fish pakora these days!! A must stop if your in the Napa Valley area

Stayed at the hotel across the street, this restaurant was delicious and just what we needed after a long drive. Ordered the samosas, saag paneer and lamb vindaloo - all were excellent. Staff was very attentive and we sat outdoors with our dogs. Would definitely recommend!

First timers - had the veggie tiki masala, naan, and appetizer. All was excellent. Masala didn’t come with rice so order that or naan to go with it. Excellent food. Would make this a go-to if I lived in the area. Great bookend to trip to Napa.
